A Relaxing Afternoon

My tummy is full of deliciousness,

I had a yummy lunch.

I ate some tasty sandwiches,

And some grapes, a bunch.

Now that I am happily full,

And it’s a sunny day,

I think I will take a nap,

And just relax today.

I’ll Stay Home

Inter-dimensional travel

Is not the thing for me,

If I want to travel,

This planet is fine for me.

I don’t have the knowledge or money,

To make such a bizarre trip,

Such travel seems very funny,

And not really worth it.

So I’ll stay with what I know,

And watch a local band,

Let others see the alien show,

I hope they find it grand.

And if they tell me it’s great,

I still won’t envy them,

I just think I would hate,

Traveling to such ends.

The world is a complicated place,
He said without a trace,
Of irony on his face.
The world is a complicated place. 

We think we understand a lot,
Because we give it lots of thought,
But know everything we will not,
The world is a complicated place. 

But that’s okay he said,
To know everything I would dread,
I couldn’t keep it straight in my head,
The world is a complicated place.

A sore tooth

A poem I wrote for fun.

I had a tooth in my mouth,

And I really, really, wanted it out.

I told the dentist, and he said “fine!”

“I won’t charge you even a dime.”

He pulled and pulled, and out the tooth came

But I noticed, I still had the pain.

He pulled the wrong tooth, the truth be told,

He had taken the tooth filled with gold.

Free Geek, located in Portland, Oregon, takes old PCs and rebuilds them. If you are dropping off a PC, or PC components, then they ask for a donation to cover their costs. They take the old PCs, repair the ones that are still useable, and install free software on them.

To get a free PC, you volunteer to work at Free Geek. If you work for 24 hours in the adoption program, they will give you a free PC. If you volunteer for the build program, you will receive a free PC after building six of them. They will also train you how to use your new software.
